Adjustment Bracket Installation

Adjustment brackets are found on outdoor patio chaise lounges and allow the chaise back to be adjusted higher or lower for maximum comfort. Adjustment brackets typically wear out over time due to the outdoor elements. Eventually, adjustment brackets will become brittle or break over the years.

Patio Sling Store furniture repair makes it easy for anyone to replace their plastic chaise lounge adjustment brackets. Patio Sling Store offers two different types of adjustment brackets; a four and six position adjustment bracket. Each replacement bracket offered by Patio Sling Store will ship with three #10 pan head screws.

Begin by removing the screws attaching the original brackets with a screw driver. In some situations, the adjustment brackets will be fastened with a rivet. If this is the case Patio Sling Store furniture repair recommends drilling out the rivet heads using a small drill bit no larger than 1/8".

Begin by lining up the new adjustment bracket with an existing hole on the chaise lounge back. Loosely attach the new adjustment bracket with one screw to hold the new adjustment bracket in to position.

Once the original adjustment bracket is removed, hold the new replacement bracket supplied by Patio Sling Store up to the original holes in the chaise lounge frame. In most situations, the holes in the new replacement adjustment bracket will not line up with those on the chaise lounge back. If this is the case, new holes will need to be drilled in to the chaise lounge frame.

Begin by lining up the new adjustment bracket with an existing hole on the chaise lounge back. Loosely attach the new adjustment bracket with one screw to hold the new adjustment bracket in to position.

With the new adjustment bracket loosely attached, use a marker to mark the spots where new holes need to be drilled using the screw holes in the new adjustment bracket as reference.

Once the holes are marked in the chaise lounge frame, use a 1/8" drill bit to drill the new holes in to the chaise lounge frame.

Once all holes are drilled, attach the new adjustment bracket using the original hardware or supplied screws.

Repeat the above steps for the opposite side. This completes the installation of your chaise lounge adjustment brackets.
